We were tasked by SEN and their events agency Amplify to create an identity that worked on and offline for Sony Entertainment Network’s experiential campaign in Ibiza this summer, for UK and Europe.
SEN took over Es Vive Hotel, a high-profile site in the heart of Ibiza that has both an entertainment space and accommodation, and filled it with a program of events, activities and strategic partnerships encompassing music, film and gaming.
This resulted in a two week Sony Entertainment Network takeover of Ibiza that engaged a mainstream audience, provided multiple opportunities for interaction and told a consistent and engaging Sony Entertainment Network story.
Our creative needed to be bold and have maximum stand-out, and our designs (including a new cut of their brand font) also had to work within Sony Entertainment Network’s brand guidelines. To launch the activity, we designed a Facebook app with a competition mechanic that allowed people to upload a photo of ‘something that entertains you’ for a chance to win a holiday to Ibiza courtesy of SEN.
Following this we created a suite of online banners for Sony’s internal channels promoting the competition, and a plethora of event merchandise ranging from t-shirts, beach towels and wristbands to video animations for large screens at the venue, neon signage and furniture design.
The app generated a lot of online activity and the events themselves were a sell-out success in raising awareness of Sony Entertainment Network across Europe.
