Computer Arts Collection is a six-part annual series gathering insight and inspiration form the global design industry. Covering the core creative topics of graphic design, typography, illustration, branding, photography and advertising, at the heart of each issue is an in-depth ‘Studio Project’, where a design studio reveals the full creative process behind a project created for the magazine.
We were invited to guest-edit the issue on branding, and chose to feature our work on the State of Mind project, which we were able to run in conjunction with the magazine piece to fit the copy deadline. This provided an opportunity to record and analyse in detail the processes we go through on a project like this, from briefing and brand planning, through brainstorming and idea generation to image-making, photography and the completed brand guidelines.
A challenging but rewarding exercise, the outcome is a useful step-by-step guide to building a modern, youthful brand.
